Our first hike in CO at Garden of the Gods — these babies hiked nearly 4 miles! We wanted to do something relatively easier to avoid any elevation sickness + this was absolutely perfect. Today is 8 whole years since I lost my brother and somehow it feels like forever and yesterday at the same time. I don’t think there will ever be a time where this day doesn’t break my heart into a thousand pieces all over again. It’s like the world stops for a second, and I just replay the day in my head over and over. I go through all the stages of grief all over again. No one should ever have to experience the death of a sibling at 21 years old. Life isn’t supposed to be like that. There will never be enough words to say how much I miss you. Living my absolute best life 🌺 a few years ago, I was broke, living in a toxic home, being yelled at daily, crying everyday, working 50+ hours per week, hating my existence. Life can change so unexpectedly. Even in the worst of times, I was always positive. I continued to manifest my dream life. I pushed through the depression and in the end, I made it through to a happier life. I met my soulmate. We built a beautiful family + life together.
