Marking the end of being iller than my usual chronic pain and closing this chapter! 🙌 Goodbye gallbladder, you (hopefully😂) won’t be missed 👋 They also looked at my uterus whilst I was under and decided I don’t need any surgery on my adenomyosis so that was such amazing news 🙌 1 - first surgery ootd, aka my pjs 2 - 99 problems but a gallbladder ain’t one card 3 - looking at my dressings for the first time, covered the bloody one 😅 4 - beautiful flowers from @xxmsmillsxx 🥰 Thank you to all my wonderful friends and family for absolutely spoiling me with love and gifts, and thank you to you all for your advice, support, and love! 🥰 It went so much better than I ever imagined, and I feel so much better than I thought I would! I had been so anxious and worried, I was in such a state beforehand🥲 Such a positive experience throughout too where I’ve send an NHS thank you to the incredible staff who looked after me so well! ❤️ Time to rest and recover ❤️🥰 #gallbladdersurgery #nhsheroes

Whilst out for Easter/my last meal before surgery the pain was just so much and Alfie said this to me, ‘You’re in so much pain but you look so glamorous’ and I thought there was a nice message in it that you really don’t know what someone’s health is like just by looking at them. When I can manage to get glammed up and go out, my chronic pain doesn’t magically stop or give me a break. I felt like passing out in pain and had to cut the night short, but when you post a nice photo or video, or people see you out looking fancy, no one is to know the actual pain some people are in. Health update! ❤️ (content warning health/weight/food) I’ve had a lot going on behind the scenes for the last year and I finally want to share in hope that I might be able to help others and maybe you have some advice for me too! I started some lifestyle changes around this time last year and not long after I started getting the worst stomach pains. I ended up in an ambulance to A&E where the out of hours GP suspected it was my gallbladder.

Long delays meant that I paid for a private ultrasound appointment (which is a massive privilege to be able to do) and found that I had gallstones, PID (pelvic inflammatory disease) and possibly Adenomyosis.

If I hadn’t had paid for that scan, I don’t think I would have found out about the PID or Adenomyosis for a very long time. 

There’s a lot more to the process of being diagnosed with these and I’ve gone into detail on my blog for anyone it might help. 

It’s got to the point where it’s making me feel more uncomfortable not talking about it publicly but I’ve kept it private for lots of reasons. One being because I’ve not been able to eat much as it causes such horrible pains, I’ve lost quite a bit of weight. I won’t be posting anything about numbers or no before and afters, I want this to remain a safe fat positive space, but people are commenting on it and I haven’t known what to say so being open about everything seemed like the best option. As a plus size blogger I will just continue to leave whatever size I’m wearing on posts like I always have done. I should be having surgery soon to remove my gallbladder and look at my uterus to see if I need any further surgery for the Adenomyosis. I’ve never had surgery before so naturally I’m quite worried, so I’d love to hear any positive gallbladder stories or advice? ❤️ #adenomyosis #chronicillnessawareness
