Spicy Beer & Beef Galette with @lauras_lean! #ad It may sound crazy, but Father’s Day is sneaking up on us. AH! #ad So it’s time to start preparing for a day to spoil that special dad in your life. Today, I’ve teamed up with Laura’s Lean to create an irresistible recipe that everyone will enjoy this holiday. Featuring beer, jalapeños, smoked paprika, fresh apricots, and Laura’s Lean 96% Lean Ground Beef, this is one killer galette. This recipe includes all natural ingredients (even the @lauras_lean beef!), so you know that you can feel good about the dish. In particular, I think the quality of meat is non-negotiable. Laura’s Lean products meet strict USDA standard to qualify as lean, also making it certified by the American Heart Association as “Extra Lean”. Best of all, Laura’s Lean 96% Lean Ground Beef is a “Never Ever” offering. What is a “Never Ever” beef, you ask? It means that the protein is sourced from cattle that was raised on vegetarian feed and without added hormones or antibiotics. Alright, enough of my jabbering… let’s get to cooking! Spicy Beer & Beef Galette INGREDIENTS: 1 lb. @Lauras_lean 96% Lean Ground Beef 4 tbs. beer (divided) 1 jalapeño (diced) 1/2 red onion (sliced) 1 fresh apricot (sliced) 2 tbs. yellow mustard 1 tbs. + 1/2 tsp. smoked paprika 1 tbs. salt Fresh basil (shredded) Frozen puff pastry sheet 2 eggs DIRECTIONS: 1. Preheat oven to 425F & line baking sheet w/ parchment. 2. Roll out puff pastry into large rectangle (10”x14”) & place on baking sheet. 3. Mix together 2 tbs. beer, 1 egg, 1 tbs. smoked paprika, salt, & jalapeño. Add Laura’s Lean 96% Lean Ground Beef & combine. 4. Dump meat mix on puff pastry. Spread evenly within 1 inch of edges. 5. Top with sliced onion & apricot. Fold edges of puff pastry along ends. Brush w/ egg white wash. 6. Place in oven & bake 20—25 min. Make sauce by combining mustard, 2 tbs. beer, & 1/2 tsp. paprika. 7. Remove from oven. Drizzle mustard beer sauce on top & serve hot. Make sure to check out @Lauras_Lean in the meat section at your local market.
