Ending Spring Break with a bang! 🦁🐒🐻🦊🦅🐱🐯 Less than 2 hours away, we had a blast spending the day in Chattanooga visiting the chattanoogazoo and the creativediscoverymuseum . These were the perfect places to allow kids to explore and play together. If you’re in driving distance to Chattanooga, definitely make plans to visit for a weekend. Let’s Talk about hair care | Part 2 We all know wash days can take forever, but when you have little girls with textured hair, it’s super important to show them how much you value them and their hair by taking the time to be intentional. I don’t need to tell Hailey to “take care of her hair” because I’m showing here with my actions how important it is to care for her hair. With that said, deep conditioning is important before a trim because we want the hair to be as hydrated and tangle free as possible. The Lush Glory conditioner has been my go to for her hair because the slip and hydration are unmatched. Putting her hair in twist after detangling each section is also vital the the process because it allows us to move through each phase smoothly. Next up? Drying and trimming. EPS 2 | Let’s Talk About Prayer I’ve just recently started praying the word of God. What does that mean? Yea, I didn’t understand the concept until very recently. It means you use God’s word (the scripture) within your prayers. In my personal opinion, I believe it holds so much more weight because you’re literally using God’s words to proclaim whatever it is you’re praying for. That’s where His promises come in. Praying His promises encourages your mind - body - and - soul to believe them. I would always admire others who’d recite a scripture in prayer and I honestly just thought they were showing off. But then I matured some more in my faith walk. Only realizing that, we should all be praying the word. We should all be reciting the scripture with conviction in our hearts! This way we’re making it clear that we believe His word and the promises He’s made us. The three scriptures I shared above should all be in our regular prayer rotation because God promised it to us. “Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Let me reword that “Maite, delight yourself in the Lord and He WILL give me the desires of my heart.” — of course as it aligns with God’s will for my life. You see what a difference that makes!? Prayer is a beautiful thing and I think as we put more intentionality into it, it will continue to evolve and be more effective. EPS 1 | Let’s Talk About Prayer Ultimately, prayers are prophetic. Whether we see it coming to pass in the spiritual realm or the natural, your words have power. I’ve been working on learning more about prayer after going through a dry season. I was LOST. I just didn’t know what to pray about, how to pray, where to start, what to do. I could feel my spirit shriveling up. Literally. I decided to pick up The Circle Maker by markbatterson from my bookshelf and finally read it. It’s been there for years but for some reason, THIS was the perfect season to read it through. This book has taught me so many great values, and I want to share them with those of you who need the support. I’m working on answering the two questions and I want you to take some time this week to answer these questions for yourself: •What exactly am I praying for? •Would I be proud of the person I’ve become if all of my prayers were answered?
