After their successful Nerd Brunch; they are striking back with The Star Wars Brunch & Bazaar on Saturday, December 16, at Buzz Café The Star Wars Brunch & Bazaar is a celebration of the franchise and with the latest installment, The Last Jedi, hitting theaters December 15; this event was timed perfectly. The force is strong with Buzz Café Philly and Riot Nerd’s Star Wars Brunch & Bazaar on December 16 from 10:00a.m.-2:00p.m.

I connected with this city in a way I’ve never connected with another place in my life. I’ve made friends, connected with the city, and immersed myself in Philadelphia’s geek culture in a way my introverted self would have never achieved otherwise. Our team not only showed the world that our city is at heart a bunch of geeks, but they’ve embraced and elevated the community’s diversity beyond typical representation. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

An Evening Creepy Crawl with Atlas Obscura and the Philadelphia Insectarium and Butterfly Pavilion

In mid-December, the Philadelphia Insectarium and Butterfly Pavilion, Atlas Obscura and Evi Numen are teaming up to “bring a night of education after hours on the after life! During this time, Numen organized, designed and installed multiple exhibitions at the Mütter Museum, as well as curated their contemporary medicine-themed art shows. She is the founder and curator of thanatography.com, an online exhibition of contemporary mourning art and writing, and is currently working as a death doula.
