The Caramel Apple Martini inspired us to pull together interior design color inspiration for a cozy bedroom filled with warmth and rich textures that mirror the falling leaves and crisp autumn air. The mixture of deep oranges and muted greens add the perfect pop to a minimal yet sophisticated space, allowing us to forget the stresses of what’s been going on outside our front doors and sink safely into autumn bliss. This sweet, spiked treat is the perfect way to bid adieu to arguably the strangest and most stressful year yet, one in which many of us have spent an abnormal amount of time hanging around our homes and possibly even lying in bed! So, cozy up in your bedroom oasis, enjoy some interior design color inspiration and sip on this fall treat while we wait for 2021 to bring a much needed fresh start.

Born and raised in Colorado, Brooke wanted to experience life on the east coast and started her higher education at University of New Hampshire, focused on Human Development and Family Studies. After her university experience, Brooke discovered her true passion lies in Interior Design, and earned her master’s certificate from Heritage School of Interior Design in Denver. As a newcomer to the interior design scene, Brooke has loved learning something new every day, and gaining practical knowledge and experience. As a self-proclaimed “city girl” Brooke loves exploring the many eclectic neighborhoods and rooftop patios that Denver has to offer, but has been known to be persuaded to go white-water rafting and zip-lining through the woods as long as she can spend more time with friends and family.

When designing for aging adults, one key problem that needs to be addressed is the acoustics of a space. Acoustics are “the properties or qualities of a room or building that determine how sound is transmitted in it. Because many aging adults start losing their hearing, it makes it even more vital to consider how sounds are traveling through the space.

This season we’re sharing some design inspiration in the form of a color pallet based of a “Lemon Mint Coupe” cocktail. Just like the colors, this cocktail is full of fresh and vibrant notes that are sure to make you feel light and bright after the heavy winter season.
