I inspire people on the inside to better explore the outside. I do this through sharing cultural experiences, connecting with locals on adventurous activities, and have a passion for unique artistic expression by locals.

I'm a Physician Assistant, dog lover, and always have sustainable tourism in mind.

Scuba diving is a major passion of mine, and try to promote it every chance I can get.

Why work with me? I'm only 1 of 13% of bloggers that do both article and video for maximum exposure for your brand.

Tap the link in my bio for more info -> @culturetrekking⁣ Traveling with dogs can be hard, especially is they are puppies - but Utah is such a dog friendly state, and becoming more so every day. You can take them on most trails (except Cottonwood Canyon- because that is where our water is sourced from) - and even to Moab National Park! If you haven't read my article on a Dog Friendly Moab, you should! Winter is the absolute BEST time to visit Moab, especially with your dogs (link in smart bio), because the sandstone won't be hot, the fire ban is typically lifted and hotels are so much cheaper. ⁣ .⁣ What has been your biggest challenge to traveling with dogs? ⁣ .⁣ #travelwithdogs #dogsinmoab #moab #utah #utahisrad #utahadventures #visitsaltlake #visitprovo #stewartfalls #stewartfallsutah #stewartfallstrail #hikingwithdogs #hikingwithdogs_daily #

I might not have a beautiful body, I don't wear bikini's or run iron man races - but I still think I'm beautiful on the inside and out. This isn't my best angle, but I'm really proud of this photo. I'm proud of the coloring, I'm proud of the fact I dressed up, my clothes fortuitisly matched my surroundings, I'm grateful for a body that works, for the chronic pain that has gotten so much better this last year. I'm grateful for the confidence, and self-esteem that has grown over the last year to be able to share this side angle and say, "I like myself just the way I am". Sure I would love to lose more weight, sure I would love to participate in Triathalons again - but you know what is the most important thing to me right now? The fact that I am completely in love with this photo, for what it represents. I have been on a path of struggle, pain, heartache, and recovery from PTSD (#metoo). It was four years ago that it happened, it was only a year ago that my Grandma died, it was just over a year that my parents got divorced....and yet.... my story isn't over. I used to get so mad when people would say, 'Everything happens for a reason' - sometimes it doesn't, sometimes bad things happen for no reason. I think looking back I can now say that I'm grateful, not for what happened to me, but for the person I have become DESPITE what happened. That is the part of me that I see in this photo. I took my pain and I turned it into a talent, which transformed into a business, and now has become a deep source of pride, joy, and paying it forward to those around me - which just spurs more joy and gratitude. So for those who are feeling pain of loss, grief at losing a loved one; for those who will be alone this Thanksgiving - I want you to know that you are not alone. You will get through this, and I promise you - if you dig down deep you will find peace and joy and look back at this time as the monumental parting of your internal Red Sea that lead you to the person you were always meant to become. A powerful, kind, loving individual who deserves that happiness you so desire.

𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐦 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐬, and this one is one of my favorites! When I visited 𝐍𝐚𝐮𝐯𝐨𝐨 𝐈𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐢𝐬, a place where Mormon Pioneers once stayed, there are small shops and houses that replicate how the 𝐏𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐝 in the 1800'𝐬 and how they got by. ⁣ So when I walked into this General Store, and they showed me 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐛𝐞𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐬 I was enthralled and amazed at the ingenuity of it. ⁣ . ⁣ See the tiny box I'm holding with a flower in it? They would put this in a window, or near the garden. A honeybee would climb inside to rub its furry body on the flower to pollinate it and get some nectar. Then get trapped inside. It was the children's job to then release the honeybee, and chase it to where its nest was. Once the nest was found, it was smoked out, honey collected, or moved to an area closer to the home for easier collection. Isn't that so fascinating! While it wouldn't exactly fly with our current honey bee state of affairs to move an entire nest - I couldn't believe how creative it was to learn about something like this happening 'back in the day'. ⁣ .⁣ If you ever get a chance to visit Nauvoo Illinois, then I highly suggest it. Even for those who aren't Mormon, it would be fascinating for you to see just how incredible the Pioneer replication and attention to detail is. ⁣ .

Things to do in the Monteverde Cloud Forest

In 1972, with the help of several international groups and organizations, more land was purchased, and by the end of that year was officially named a protected area and Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Of all the rain forests in the world, only 1% can officially be classified as a cloud forest, as it takes the right atmospheric conditions to allow for a consistent cover of clouds. Hiking through the small spot of the nearly 35,089 acres of land, with eight life zones, 100 species of mammals, 400 species of birds, and 1,200 species of amphibians was a phenomenal experience. Walk the Suspension Bridges in the Clouds With all the trails and changes in elevation, suspension bridges were built in the Monteverde Cloud forest to help visitors explore this wanderful ecosystem.

There are so many good things that have been happening in my life lately - I really feel like I'm becoming the #badassbossbabe that many of my entrepreneur friends are - that I thought I could only dream of being. It wasn't until @glographics spoke at a conference I was at that I did a self-check and realized I wasn't TRULY tapping into my own unique potential. Once I started doing that and cut out things that weren't making me happy (business wise), put more effort into my immediate friendships, focused on manifesting what I wanted for my personal life, and then played on my strengths and owned them that things just started to happen for me and my business. The crowning moment? When I was told I would have my website sponsored by @cardsetter - who I cannot thank enough and couldn't be more pleased with how my new website is coming together. It is so clean and crisp, and really a dream come true in the layout, design, and organization of it. I can't wait for you to see it. I also will be working with @VisitMesa - a destination I have been wanting to highlight and visit for the last 2 years and cannot wait to share that visit with you. I also was able to financially afford to only have one roommate @nomadic_buff who shares my love for creating videos and traveling. Now I have an extra room I am making into my creative space for filming, and making it the cutest coziest office space EVER! There are so many other good things happening, and its all because I started to believe in my own unique superpowers. My friendships are more meaningful and intentional, and dreams are coming true. So here is my question to you....What is your super power and what do you intentionally want to manifest into your life this next year? ⁣ .

While this is a pitiful representation of Stewart Falls, I really was so proud of myself for getting out and hiking despite my chronic back pain and plantar fascitis (even after it was surgically intervened). The trail was hard for me, yet when people would zoom by, I was patient with myself. I did it at my own speed, I was kind to where I am at in my journey. ⁣ . ⁣ That is the thing about being adventurous - there is no set size or shape that you have to be molded into. If the trail takes you 2-3 hours but takes everyone else an hour - remind yourself that you are doing better than all the people still at home on their couches. At least you are out and about, trying, doing, and being better one trail at a time. ⁣ . ⁣ So if you suffer from chronic pain like me, or you think your not physically able to do something - I want you to be a little bit kinder to yourself and just go and try. If you don't make it up the trail, it doesn't mean you are a failure - it just means it isn't your season. ⁣ .

Cowboy Poetry Readings are some of the funnest things I have been to. It is the original country songs, the tongue in cheek poetry like that of Don Blandings 'Vagabonds House'. I had the opportunity to go to the Cowboy Poetry gathering in Heber City Utah. I saw how a blacksmith stoke his fires, a teepee, and a canvas tent complete with a bed and a stove just like they used in cowboy days. Have you ever been to a Cowboy gathering? What a cowboy poetry reading? Any favorite poems? ⁣ .

Travel Hacks for First Time Cruisers

What if break your ankle on land, but don’t want to miss the ship and end up going to the doctor on the ship I will typically give them a time that is 1.5 hours prior to when we are supposed to leave, that way I have a little time for souvenir shopping & know if we run into problems or traffic that I still have a small window to reach the ship. When you are scanning yourself off the ship, be sure to check the time on your watch to the crews ship. Have you ever wanted, or wondered what it would be like to live in the days of the Pioneers? What it was really like to churn your own butter, milk the cow, sow the fields, make the candles, walk a mile to give a message, send a telegram, deal with spiders in the house, stoke the fire to stay warm, cut the wood, boil water, drag water from the well, or pump your own water. ⁣ . ⁣ Looking back and touring some of the cowboy and pioneer places lately for November content - it has truly made me realize just how spoiled we are. Not just Americans, but all of us. How connected we are, how much easier life is (physically), the medical care that changes and cures people, and the fact that I can walk into a store and buy my own butter without having to shake and separate the cream myself. I don't know, it really has made me feel so grateful, thankful and humbled for the things I have and the ease of the life I have. ⁣ . ⁣ What are a few things you are grateful for? ⁣ .

I was able to catch the last bit of fall, and fall colors at the state capital this weekend. It was such a beautiful day, and just before winter hit. Memory grove park is a very peaceful park right by the Utah state capital. It is in remembrance of those who died in service of their country. If you are in Utah I highly recommend that you visit, there is a little stream running through the park, lots of trees, and plenty of places to take great photos or have a picnic. I hope you all had a great Halloween, now let’s get ready for Thanksgiving and my birthday!

How to Avoid Hidden Charges While Traveling

I don’t typically use the travel insurance with the airline as I can get travel insurance with World Nomads that includes flight rebooking or airline cancellations. If you luggage is outside the size limitations for carry-on luggage, you will be required to check your luggage at the gate, which can tack on another $15 to $35 on top of their checked luggage fee. If you are on a long flight with a budget airlines, you will have to download and watch your own movies – or pay a theater cost to rent one movie, on top of the WiFi fee they may charge to do so. They hide it as an ‘electricity fee’ which an be an additional $4 a day, some hotels charge more, especially if they use more electricity (think Las Vegas), and can charge up to $12.95 per day per adult.

What are you going to be for Halloween? Do you still dress up? Do you hide in your house and de-wire your doorbell? While it is Halloween, and most people would wear this as a costume - I really love this robe so much. I sometimes wear it around home, just to remember the time I had in Guatemala with @sheridesdragons - Did you know that Mayan Shamans still practice the ancient Mayan ways? Many of their rememdies that modern medicine deemed unfit for use, are actually very common to what we use today. Much of what they treat are the common ailments, but they also are very adept at healing the weights within the soul. While I am planning on writing about this later, I truly believe that magic still has a place in this world if we just believe in it, and in ourselves. So this October, I challenge you to be a little more open to those things you think are 'strange' and try to see them from a different perspective - it might help change your mind about something & actually change you in ways you didn't know were possible. ⁣ .

For the last 10 years I have wanted to attend the Witches Night Out at Gardner Village. While it isn't truly a Wicca night out, it is a time for Mom's and their daughters to get out and celebrate being a part of a tribe of women who celebrate Halloween. If you go during the Witch-fest the girls can take photos with the different Witches, get autographs, face painting and buying a trinket or two in the boutique shops located throughout the village. If you don't have a hat, you can buy one for about $20 in the shop. ⁣ .
