Hello! My name is Leah Deppert and I founded my blog, By Travel & Error, in the summer of 2016. Top Seven Things To Do in Toledo, OH

Toledo, Ohio holds a special place in my heart because it’s the middle point between Cleveland and Detroit where my fiancé and I would meet up during our long distance dating relationship. The park was previously the estate of the Stranahan family and their stately Manor House still stands offering a festive Christmas tour during the holidays. Tour the multiple different rooms filled with interesting art and try to snag a free tour guide… Start out by grabbing coffee from Black Kite Coffee and then walk/bike/drive around this neighborhood to see some of the most over the top gorgeous Victorian homes.

24 Hours in Grand Rapids, MI

This local indoor market has everything you need – a trendy coffee shop, multiple different food vendors, a lovely second floor greenhouse and more! The vendors I bought from and loved included: Sweetie-licious Bake Shoppe (order the Cheery Cherry Lemon Bomb cookie), Rák Thai (get the passion fruit bubble tea with mango popping bobas and spicy drunken noodles), and Tacos El Cuñado (If ya didn’t know, one of Grand Rapids’ nicknames is Beer City USA as there are over 80 breweries in the area!) n’t miss my post on how to spend the perfect day in Grand Haven, MI…only 30-40 minutes away from Grand Rapids!

How To Spend a Perfect Day in Grand Haven, MI

Last summer I got to visit both Holland, MI and Saugatuck, MI and fell completely in love with these beachy lake towns. First things first, you need to park your car and head down to the boardwalk to take in those lake life vibes everyone here is eminating! If time allows, head back to Grand Haven State Park to catch a few rays and a quick dip! I hope you’ll consider making a weekend trip (especially if you live in Cleveland) there this summer or next and enjoy a perfect day in Grand Haven.

24 Hours in Atlanta, GA

In late June, I had a quick business trip scheduled to Atlanta and to be honest, I wasn’t that excited to visit this southern city. If you find yourself briefly visiting ATL, take a look at this itinerary for 24 hours in Atlanta, GA (& don’t listen to all of the haters)! * Head to the World of Coca Cola (also located in walking distance from Centennial Olympic Park and ABC) and be dazzled by this interactive experience. I tried Indian and Lebanese food, but had a really difficult time deciding where to eat because everything looked and smelled amazing.
