Hamburg's new design subway stations

Apart from the Elbphilharmonie and hundreds of residential and office buildings, the city's infrastructure is currently being expanded to cover the new area. The new subway line U4 connects the HafenCity with the rest of Hamburg and is holding up with the architectural standard of the new buildings surrounding it. The U3 does some serious roller coaster action shooting out of a building around the Rathaus, so it's not surprising that the new line also changes it's height. The impressive steel frame construction with inset glazing visually connects the roof with the adjacent bridges, while keeping the visitor's view open towards the now developing skyline.

How I save $500+ on international flights

While I pride myself on writing about beautiful beaches and fascinating designs all over the world, there is one thing you guys seem to be the most excited about and keep asking me: How to find the best deals on international flights. Therefore, I've teamed up with Dollar Flight Club to show you one option to find cheaper flights with less time staring at your laptop in despair. I don't mind planning my trips and don't think I ever wildly overpaid on a flight, but the cheaper I can go, the more I can travel – easy. Their normal price threshold is a $500 savings target, so you won't get any emails with regular flights you'd find by yourself anyways.

I Belize I can fly

was my friend's Saskia's response when I proposed the genius idea of us taking a sightseeing flight over the Blue Hole while we were staying on Ambergis Caye. The Great Blue Hole is a giant sinkhole in the center of Lighthouse Reef off the coast of Belize. I had heard many stories about this fascinating place, quite a few of them including that diving the blue hole actually wasn't as exciting as seeing it from the top. The blue hole is part of the light house reef, which I personally found just as exciting as the blue hole itself.

Favourite spots on the Yucatan Peninsula

I spent a month in southern Mexico, more precisely in Yucatan and Quintana Roo, beach bumming, snorkelling and eating guacamole-based foods. As I was working meanwhile (margarita in hand), I travelled super slowly and also decided to stick to the rather touristy areas, as I was relying on a working internet connection. See the art at Isla Holbox Take your instagram pictures in Tulum Mexicans seem to be obsessed with Bacalar, as everybody I met told me how much they loved it. There are beaches where you'll find tons of starfish, you will definitely see nurse sharks and turtles when diving and the entire island is focussed on exploring the ocean surrounding it.
