Time for some croissants!! 🥐🥐🥐 I don't have a sweet tooth but I do love a good croissant and the ones at @hadrien_patisserie in Etobicoke are very good! We ended up getting lemon and almond croissants and a shortbread cookie. The almond croissant was nice and flaky but a little too sweet for me while the lemon struck a nice balance between sweet and tart. As for the shortbread cookie, I couldn't resist taking a bite before taking the photo, was another winner for me. I need to go back to try some more flavours. Which flavour of croissant would you choose?

There are so many amazing restaurants in Guadalajara I don't think it's possible to really appreciate the scope of the culinary scene in one visit. This is my second time experiencing a performance by @transcendanceproject and again, it blew me away! It takes the term immersive theatre to a whole new level! As you enter you're given a mask and a sealed 'invitation'. At the start of the show you're instructed to open your invitation and then you're instructed to head to one of three levels in @thegreathallto. There is no sitting for this show. The audience has the choice of either following a particular performer as they move through the three separate spaces, or, wander through the entire theatre taking in the show at your leisure and have the story unfold around you. The show is called 'Eve of St. George' and it's the retelling of Bram Stoker's Dracula. Magnolia Avenue in St. Augustine is one of the most beautiful streets in America and with good reason. The large oak trees, covered with Spanish moss, that line the street creates a beautiful canopy that's even more stunning at the golden hour. We were lucky to be there at the right time just as this peacock decided to cross the street in search of a snack. One of the things that I love about living in #Mississauga is the fact that we have almost every type of cuisine within a 15 minute drive. Last week I felt like chicken so I headed over to @monasabacanada for some Yemini food. The chicken leg mandi is a slow roasted chicken leg that sits on a plate filled with fluffy basmati rice and then everything is topped with almonds, fried onions and raisins. So tender and flavourful! I need to go back to explore the menu some more. I have to say, the brunch game in Guadalajara is strong! La Postreria is a restaurant that has been recognized internationally for their desserts but their brunch is also impressive. Chef @jesusescelera has worked with legends in the culinary world such as Ferran Adrià and Hestón Blumenthal and was named Best Pastry Chef in Latin America. But just because he's an expert in pastries doesn't mean that his savory items aren't worth visiting @postreria.mex for. The open, light filled restaurant is located in the Colonia Americana neighborhood (the Coolest Neighborhood In The World 2022) in @gotoguadalajara. Not only is it a dessert restaurant, it's also a school of sorts where you can watch the students as they learn dessert magic. We started with their mandarin and honey yogurt then moved on to the more substantial dishes like their croque monsieur and red chilaquiles.
