3 Easy Ways to “Thanksgiving” On a Budget

I’m back, and with the holidays approaching, what better time than to share the best ways to kick off the 2019 holiday season than to start with Thanksgiving. it’s getting cold AF in NYC and standing out in the cold was cool when I was younger, but now, I turn the TV on and watch it all morning. The parade features performances from today’s top artists and celebrities, and it’s usually funny to look at. Still, it varies from state to state and country to country, so these are the sure-fire ways of getting the most bang for your buck and spending the most time with the ones you love.

Should You Plan Your Own Baby Shower?

It’s been a crazy year so far because being pregnant has been a game-changer with how I manage my professional and personal life. Recently, now that I am the client I’ve come to find out that at least in the area where I am, family/friends do not plan your baby shower and its up to you to do it. This has been a point of contention because for me because I grew up where the family really takes care of the couple that is expecting, especially if it’s their first baby. For some reason, it’s not like that, and it’s something that I’ve had to take a step back and seriously think about.

The Pregnant Event Planner, Now What?

Now, I’m sitting in the same seat and thinking to myself how this is going to affect me going forward with planning events now that I am pregnant. Doing so has allowed me to decrease the stress of some of the job that I would normally do but also will enable me to see where the team is and seeing where we can make overall improvements to move the team forward going forward. As I progress into the 3rd trimester, there will come a time where I will have to let the team handle the day of things that I am not able to do like being there at the event, standing on my feet the whole time, setting up, breaking down and so on. For the smaller events, my team can do that without me being there, but for the high stakes events, my presence is needed, so I have to recover quickly so that I can do events up until the point when I go on maternity leave.

4 Things To Do For Your Dad for Father’s Day

I also acknowledge that not everyone has that same experience and are not able to have a mother or father in their life which is why if you do have their presence it’s so important to cherish them because it’s a privilege to have them in their life. Here are some of the ideas that I had with planning something special for fathers’ day that you can use for the special man/men in your life. It’s something special about them being at the helm of the grill and knowing that everyone is eating what they cooked and it’s okay because they added their “special sauce Let’s face it before he was your dad he was living his best life and had his day of going to a concert with friends as well, and what better way than to give him tickets to his favorite band and go to a show with him
