10 Reasons to Visit New Zealand

The country is actually comprised of two islands, aptly named the South Island and North Island. The South Island is renowned for its sharp mountain peaks and fiordlands, whilst the North Island is renowned for its volcanic activity, caldera lakes and beautiful beaches on the west coast. Although difficult to access across the South Island’s mountain ranges on the west coast, Milford Sound and Doubtful Sound are the two most popular fiords in New Zealand. Providing some of the best “ice architecture” in the world, Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers are located on the west coast of the South Island.

Travel Blogging Eight Years On

As my biography says: I commenced 50 Shades of Age in 2012 as a platform to encourage and inspire women of my age. After reaching that milestone age of 50, with kids leaving the nest and feeling unemployable, I felt a big void in my life. I wanted to be the voice for the new-age over 50 year olds to empower and motivate them to feel worthy again! We’ve been away in our caravan on several trips both in Northern New South Wales and one trip up north into Queensland (when the border opened momentarily).

10 Years Of Travel: Best & Worst

We had an absolute ball here visiting the many sights of the city, including: Central Park, Empire State Building, World Trade Centre ruins, Broadway, Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Wall Street, Central Station, Ellis Island and the Brooklyn Bridge, to name a few. We spent a few days in the exciting capital city of Istanbul seeing the sights such as the Blue Mosque, Bosphorus River, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bizaar, Spice Bizaar, Hippodrome and Galata. From the Gold Coast in Queensland we headed south along the New South Wales coast to Victoria and then across to South Australia. We returned to Singapore for a day and then set out again to Brunei, ports of Nha Trang and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, Sihanoukville in Cambodia, Bangkok and Koh Samui in Thailand.

Australian Beaches: Queensland

Australian beaches rate amongst some of the best in the world. In Queensland, the Sunshine State, there are an abundance of sun-drenched, golden sandy, azure blue water and pristine beaches in the place I used to call home.
