I know that by now, most of you are aware that May is Mental Health Awareness Month.⁠ ⁠ 4 Simple Ways that you can do to support your Mental Health: ⁠ ⁠ Practice Mindfulness: Mindfulness is a great coping mechanism that will allow you to manage stress, relax, and increase awareness of your emotions. You can practice mindfulness by journaling, practicing gratitude, and meditation.⁠ ⁠ Engage In Movement: engaging in physical activity is one of the best ways to blow off some steam. In addition, the movement releases endorphins which help us feel better overall.⁠ ⁠ Prioritize Self-Care: Prioritizing self-care helps you to recognize what activities and tasks are necessary for your well-being, soothes negative symptoms of mental illness and stress, and helps you to relax⁠ ⁠ and ⁠ ⁠ Eat Well: We are what we eat, and studies have shown that our diet directly correlates to how we feel.
