Home School Timetable Ideas for Primary School Kids

Different things are going to work for different families, and if you are trying to juggle working from home with teaching your kids you really have got a lot on right now. I’m not going to say it’s easy as it takes a lot of energy on my part to keep them focused and help them to get their work done, but I’m spending more time with them in a constructive way and spending less time playing referee so for me It’s also keeping me away from the news during the day which is having a huge impact on my ability to cope with what is happening with the coronavirus pandemic globally. Homeschooling a 5 year old (Year 1) and 8 year old (Year 3) is definitely keeping me busy and leaving very little time to read the news!

Getting Started with Home Learning during Coronavirus

Firstly, I probably had a head start on a lot of parents as we already a number of books from the Collins Easy Learning range for ages 5-7 and 7-9. I can’t see them sat at their desks all day, but when they are in the mood to sit down and do some maths or hand writing practise these learning books for kids are going to make that really easy to do. I’ve prepared a home school area for the children and we are going to be making a concerted effort to be more organised in the home during this time. They don’t like being not at school at the best of times but given how stressful this situation is becoming, it’s clearly having an impact on them.

Things to do in Edinburgh

It’s an excellent city to visit for a city break because everything is so accessible either by foot or public transport. To fully appreciate the Royal Mile and its history book a walking tour with a local historian who will have many stories to share with you about this historic city. If you have a particular interest in Royal history then you will enjoy a visit to Holyroodhouse Palace at the foot of the Royal Mile. Arthur’s Seat sits at the top of the Holyrood Park and provides excellent views across the city for visitors to enjoy.

Manchester Airport Parking: APH Off Site Parking Review

Being return customers we’d strongly recommend taking a look at APH Parking if you are trying to save some of your travel money to spend on more important things like eating out or must see attractions. We arrived at the APH car park in Manchester about 45 minutes before we were due at the airport. One of the things I love about APH is that you don’t park the car! After a short wait on the bus, we made the 10/15 minute journey to Manchester Airport Terminal 3 and arrived in good time to go through all the security checks etc at the airport.
