SPRING BREAK!!! 🚫not on a beach 🚫not soaking up the sun 🚫not taking a break from life ✅snuggles and PJs ✅checking things off the to do list ✅cleaning and organizing ✅panicking about baby coming🤪 ✅a little shopping and fun I warned my teens weeks ago that spring break was going to be the week mom gets things done. We’ve sprinkled in a tiny bit of “fun”, but for the most part, Mom is in panic/nesting mode. Penelope was here in a week and a half from this point 😳😳😳. I’m hoping this little one stays in a little extra time, but based on my last apt, it’s looking like about 3 weeks at the most due to possible IUGR. We will know more next week at my ultrasound. I’m trying to soak up all the snuggles with these little ones. I can’t watch this without crying. I held it together through the actual performance by sheer nerves and cheering my head off (sorry if you watch it with sound🤣). I’m not sure who was more nervous….her or me… 3 weeks ago she came to me in pure panic and said “I can’t do it”. This has been a HARD dance year for her. She’s struggled. She’s wanted to quit. She’s cried. She’s been angry. I told her at one point, “it’s not worth your mental health”. I wasn’t sure she would finish the year at one point, but she kept saying she doesn’t quit….and she didn’t!!! She took all that emotion and let it fuel her on that stage! This wasn’t about a score sheet or placement (although she did amazing). She has never done a solo. She’s never done a duo/trio. She’s always had a team up there with her. I was so afraid she would freeze up. She proved me wrong. She walked out on that stage with the sass that said “You doubt me? WATCH THIS!” The love and support of her @eurekagoldenline teammates and coaches melted my heart! They were so proud of her! Look at those smiles and hugs! So much support for my girl! But this wasn’t for them, this was for HER! I’m so proud of all she’s accomplished and worked through this year! Huge thanks to @cara.westcott for choreography and @wcallstardance for the encouragement/support/hugs/practice space/costume ordering…..everything! And CONGRATULATIONS to her teammate on both GL and WCAS for placing 4th at state in the sophomore age group!!! Morgan is so blessed by their friendship!
