Here are seven of Toronto’s best kept secret spots that you won’t often find on the tourist trail. If you’re interested in visiting, you’ll find Bampot on a peaceful stretch of Harbord Street on the west side of the city. If you find yourself on the north side of Temperance Street or the south side of Richmond Street, the park is not far, and you’ll find it beside the Bay Adelaide Centre high rise. While it may sound grim, the sight reminds the people of Toronto and visitors alike of the hardships that brought many people to the cities of North America and that their lineage still exists there to this day.
With the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea surrounding this amazing country of Costa Rica, one can truly expect all of their senses thrilled and satisfied by this place. You can also experience Corcovado National Park at night but you have to make reservations as early as one month in advance to make sure that you will secure a pass. You will not find a better place to learn how to surf than in the Pacific Ocean or the Caribbean Sea with the majestic look of Costa Rica in the background. These hot springs are free for travelers, but you might want to get here as early as you can before other vacationers and even locals who bathe in these springs.
Over the summer we had an incredible opportunity to experience the Lanaudiere region of Quebec. Things to do around Lanaudiere Lanaudiere has some interesting things to do including adventure type activities, educational activities, animal interactions, and more. However, I watched lots of people on the beginner course and the way they have it set up was ideal for newbies. La Terre Des Bisons started out with three bison in 1992 and Elk were added a few years later.
It’s within a half day drive to the beach, Atlanta, Great Smoky Mountain National Park, and Nashville, making it a great place to stop on a summer road trip around the South. It’s hard to find a restaurant without a kid’s menu, and you can’t walk far downtown without seeing happy families (and dogs) strolling around! Friday nights host the famous drum circle downtown that is hard to forget, and if you’re visiting during summer, you can also catch the free musical Shindig on the Green downtown. Black Mountain, Blowing Rock, Hendersonville, Chimney rock, Brevard, and Sylva are all within 2 hours of downtown Asheville and have their own claims to fame, drawing tourists in and giving them a fun mountain experience.
